HOW IS ABIB DETERMINED
WITH THE HELP OF THE BIBLE
Is it only by Season emphasis (i.e. the barely)?
Is it only by the Equinox( Equal Night and Day)?
Is it only by the Heavens(i.e the New Moon)?
There is a whole school of thought behind each of the above factors, but our answer to all three questions is NO. and here's why
Produce your cause, saith the Lord; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob.
IT TAKES THE HARMONY OF ALL THREE FACTORS TO DETERMINE ABIB
By The Season (Vegetation)
JESUS SAID
And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand ( Luke 21:29-31)
THE LAW SAID:
While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. (Genesis 8:22)
THE APOSTLE PAUL SAID:
Doth not even nature itself teach you..( 1Cor 11:14a)
So what makes leaves sprout in the spring [ i.e the transition into summer]?

What is it about the spring that makes the new growth of leaves on trees occur, year in and year out?
It’s actually two things.
Even though we’re in the spring now, the whole program that you’re observing was set up in the autumn.[i.e the transition period into winter]
As the days get shorter in the autumn and the temperatures decline, the tree sets itself up to go dormant and then in the same program sets itself up to burst bud in the spring. And of the two components I mentioned, day length and temperature, the one in the autumn that’s most important is day length. It functions as a signal for the plant to begin to shut down. Actually, to put it another way, it’s night length that’s important. As the nights get longer, the plant perceives the lengthening night or the shortening day and embarks on a program to shut down.
That being said, even plants in tropical zones or in lower latitudes will still shut down in the winter months, even though the day length may not decrease as dramatically as what we experience in Canada. And they do that by perceiving other cues. Decreasing temperature is one cue. Water availability is also important. Take a look at forests that exist close to the Equator — they use signals that are derived from water availability. So in late August and early September in the northern hemisphere, when precipitation rates drop, that can function as a cue and have the tree shut down and enter that dormant state.
When the trees make that dormant bud, that hardened bud we see through the winter months that protects the growing tissues underneath from the foul weather, they are set up to grow again in the spring and to make sure they interpret the cues during the winter so that they don’t grow again in the spring at the wrong time.
And By The Equinox
Here's what the term Equinox means:
the time or date (twice each year) at which the sun crosses the celestial equator, when day and night are of EQUAL LENGTH ALL OVER THE WORLD AT THE SAME TIME
(This event affects everyone twice a year, anywhere on the earth, a reminder of the Creation Week.)
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
IN THE BEGINNING, WHEN GOD CREATED THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH
EACH DAY WAS A 1000 YEARS IN TIME ACCORDING TO 2 PET 3:8
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

HENCE DIVIDING 1 DAY TO GOD, GIVES US A 500 YEAR EVENING AND A 500 YEAR DAY
NOW LET'S LOOK AT THE THE BEGINNING OF THE CHAPTER THAT CONTAINS THE LORD'S FEAST
Leviticus 23:1-3
And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.
[ AND NOTICE HOW GOD TAKES US BACK TO THE SIX DAYS THAT HE LABOURED BEGINING AT THE TOP OF THE LORD'S CHAPTER OF
HIS FEAST]
3 SIX DAYS SHALL WORK BE DONE: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings. ( Lev 23:3)
NOTICE HOW IT MIRRORS WHAT GOD DID IN THE BEGINNING
IN GENESIS THE FIRST CHAPTER
11 FOR IN SIX DAYS THE LORD MADE HEAVEN AND EARTH, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. ( Exo 20:11)
SO LET'S TAKE A LOOK AT THE VERY BEGINNING OF THE LAW:

And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

And the evening and the morning were the third day.

And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
EVERYONE OF THOSE DAYS WERE EQUAL, NOW LET'S LOOK AT HOW JESUS DIVIDED A DAY
Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal? Ezekiel 18:29
Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.( John 11:9)
(NOTICE IN THE SAME CHAPTER THE EQUINOX REFERENCE IS BEFORE THE PASSOVER)
And the Jews' passover was nigh at hand: and many went out of the country up to Jerusalem before (John 11:55)
Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto the Lord thy God: for in the month of Abib the Lord thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night.(Deut 16:1)
In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the Lord's passover. (Lev 23:5)
Thus we have established Abib is the FIRST MONTH, which occurs in beginning of the SEASON CALLED SUMMER
And By The New Moon
Observance of the New Moon within a 7 day time period before the EQUINOX is criticle because the Moon (along with Sun) was created during OR INSIDE OF the first six days of the creation including the Sabbath day which is the 7th day:
For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and ALL THAT IN THEM IS, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
(The Sun and the Moon wasn't created until the 4th day)
And the LORD said the MOON appoints the seasons:
He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down. (Psalms 104:19)
And the LORD said we came out in the SEASON OF ABIB.
But at the place which the Lord thy God shall choose to place his name in, there thou shalt sacrifice the passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt.(Deut 16:6)
THE APOSTLE PAUL AGAINST THE PHILOSOPHERS
Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.(Col 2:16-17)
THEREFORE WE'VE COME TO THIS DETERMINATION
WITH THE HELP OF THE HOLY BIBLE...
IF THE COUNT OF DAYS from date of the NEW MOON IS NOT INSIDE OF A TIME PERIOD OF 7 DAYS, WHICH INCLUDES THE EQUINOX, THEN ABIB STARTS ON THE NEXT APPEARANCE OF THE NEW MOON.
