1494 (attested in Anglo-L. from 1251), from L.L. Judaismus (Tertullian), from Gk. Ioudaismos, fromIoudaios "Jew" (see Jew). 

The Anglo-L. reference is to a special tax levied on the Jews of England.(source dictionary.com)

The word Judaism originated as a financial term first.

Persecution of Christian Jews by Mithraized Christians.

Mithras had the following doctrine which were observed by his cult in Rome but are now called the common practices of Christianity today:

• Mithra was born on December 25th of the virgin Anahita. (Today's Jesus)

• The babe was wrapped in swaddling clothes, placed in a manger and attended by shepherds.

• He was considered a great traveling teacher and master.

• He had 12 companions or "disciples."

• He performed miracles.

• As the "great bull of the Sun," Mithra sacrificed himself for world peace.

• He ascended to heaven.(And he makes his followers believe they too will goto heaven)

• Mithra was viewed as the Good Shepherd, the "Way, the Truth and the Light," the Redeemer, the Savior, the Messiah.

• Mithra is omniscient, as he "hears all, sees all, knows all: none can deceive him."

• He was identified with both the Lion and the Lamb.

• His sacred day was Sunday, "the Lord's Day," hundreds of years before the appearance of Christ.

• His religion had a eucharist or "Lord's Supper."

• Mithra "sets his marks on the foreheads of his soldiers."

• Mithraism emphasized baptism.

306 AD- 337 AD: The Rise of Mithras Worship -Today's Christianity

Constantine the Great was a Roman emperor who reigned from A.D. 306 to 337.

Tradition has it that on his way to an important battle in A.D. 312, a vision of a flaming cross appeared to him with the inscription, "In this sign conquer." He therefore authorized his mostly pagan soldiers to place a cross on their shields, and went on to win the battle. Believing the Christian God to be his secret to military success and the key to uniting his empire,

 

Constantine so called adopted Christianity as the official religion of Rome in A.D. 324. His life continued to be marred by bloodshed and political intrigue until his death, but through his influence the bishops of Rome gained rapid ascendancy to political and temporal power.

 

Sun WorshipThe real secret of Constantine and the bishops of Rome is their cunning introduction of sun worship and paganism into Christianity. It was done so shrewdly that, incredibly, it has been veiled within the faith for centuries. Through Constantine, paganism and Christianity joined hands in the Roman Empire.

 

321 AD: History readily records that Constantine was a sun-worshiper.

 

In one decree he declared, "On the venerable Day of the Sun let the magistrates and people residing in cities rest, and let all workshops be closed" (March 7, 321). He made this decree in honor of the sun after his supposed conversion to Christianity! Constantine, even after his "false conversion," he remained a pagan until he was baptized 16 YEARS LATER in A.D. 337 on this deathbed, he did much to further the growth of the Paganized Christian Church. 

 

Constantine sought to BLEND HIS KINGDOM OF PAGANS into Christian worshipers, in order to promote stability and ensure that his mithraized empire lasted. The easiest way to bring harmony would be to blend sun worship and Christianity. History shows that the Church of Rome did not object; indeed, it had been engaging in the practice for nearly two centuries!

 

"Regardless of attempts to make Mithraism the plagiarist of Christianity the fact remains that Mithraism was first,

 

"Nevertheless, the god Mithra was revered for centuries prior to the Christian era, and the germane elements of Mithraism are known to have preceded Christianity by hundreds to thousands of years. Thus, regardless of attempts to make Mithraism the plagiarist of Christianity, the fact will remain that Mithraism was first, well established in the West decades before Christianity had any significant influence.
